Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Rostra (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our website at readrostra.com and our iOS application (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Rostra has no user accounts. The only information you may voluntarily provide is through the contact form (your name and message). This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with third parties.

Information collected automatically

We use PostHog, a third-party analytics service, to collect anonymous usage data on both the website and the iOS app. This includes events such as searches performed and features used. Your IP address is hashed prior to any processing and is not stored in identifiable form. No personally identifiable information is associated with these events.

PostHog is operated by PostHog, Inc. For more information, see the PostHog Privacy Policy.

Information stored on your device

The iOS app stores your bookmarks and reading preferences locally on your device using on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to our servers and is not accessible to us.

2. How We Use Information

We use anonymized analytics data solely to understand how the Services are used and to improve them. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3. Push Notifications

The iOS app may request permission to send you local push notifications. These notifications are generated on your device. We do not collect or store your device notification token on our servers.

4. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics events are retained in accordance with PostHog’s data retention policies. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. On-device data persists until you delete the app.

5. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
