Letter I · On Saving Time
Seneca
Seneca's words to Lucilius cut to the heart of what escapes most: time is the only true possession we have, and yet it’s the first we squander. In an era where status and wealth were highly prized, Seneca called attention to the one irreplaceable resource. Unlike gold or power, time cannot be hoarded or reclaimed, making its careless loss the most tragic of all.
