Lao Tzu
Lao Tzu's words navigate the tension between the nameless and the named, the mystery and the manifestation. In ancient China, the prevailing belief systems were rooted in Confucianism's emphasis on order and hierarchy. Lao Tzu, however, beckons toward a subtler, less tangible path. The Tao is elusive, beyond language and structure, a truth glimpsed only when desire fades and one embraces the inherent mystery.
