Fragment 114
Heraclitus
Heraclitus saw human laws as mere tributaries fed by a larger, divine law. The divine law, in his view, was a universal order, unchanging and ever-present, underpinning the chaotic flux of human affairs. Heraclitus insists on the unity of divine and human laws. This perspective challenges us to see justice not as a human construct, but as a reflection of an eternal principle.
