Hippocrates
Hippocrates points to balance as the essence of health, a notion often drowned out by modern extremes. In a time when imbalance was seen as a physical manifestation of disease, both excess sleep and excess wakefulness were considered disruptive to well-being. The prescription is moderation, a principle as relevant against today's relentless hustle as it was against the humors of ancient Greece.
